Open Postdoc Positions in Pavement Engineering at Chang'an University
The Innovation and Talent Recruitment Base of Sustainable Development of Highways in Special Regions was approved and developed at Chang’an University in 2017 by the Ministry of Education and State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs, P.R. China. Chang'an University is situated in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province. It has a range of national-level teachings and scientific research platforms and also has national innovation teams and several high-level leading talents.
We have two or three Postdoctoral Fellows in the field of pavement engineering. The role is part of the National Key R&D plan research project sponsored by MOST, China. Candidates are expected to make significant breakthroughs in the energy harvesting from roadways, smart materials, big data analysis, etc. This is possible through the integration of informatics and road engineering. In the meantime, research will be closely linked to materials, information, electronics, energy, and close collaboration with industry.
Prof. Aimin Sha will be in charge of day-to-day position management and supervision. Our team works on eco-friendly and intelligent pavements, including permeable pavement, low-noise pavement, low-endothermic pavement, pavement for the decomposition of exhaust gas, deicing pavement, bright pavements, etc.
There are two or three available positions for Postdoctoral Fellows (PFs). Visiting Scholars (VSs) and Exchange Graduate Researchers (EGRs) are also welcome for a short time. For visiting scholars and exchange students, there will also be financial assistance. Candidates who are available are encouraged to send us basic CVs.
Topics: i) Smart materials & smart pavements; ii) Sustainability pavement materials and structures in cold weather & special regions; iii) Database for durable pavements; iv) pavement management system.
Eligibility Criteria: i) Ph.D. degree in related fields; ii) Graduated from recognized universities and institutions; iii) Ability to understand and express themselves in both written and spoken English; iv) Give priority to the candidate's experience of Chinese.
